We are looking for a Scientific Officer to work in the Pesticides Peer Review Unit - Scientific Coordination team.

Responsabilità

• Responsible for scientific support to the pesticides risk assessment (depending on the areas of expertise);
• Responsible for project management and process coordination, ensuring compliance with relevant SOPs (standard operating procedures);
• Write, edit, and proofread documents such as reports, and presentations, ensuring the highest level of accuracy;
• Ensure proper document management;
• Support the maintenance and management of databases;
• Organise, coordinate and support both internal meetings and meetings with external participants, and prepare relevant meeting documents;
• Handle correspondence by managing functional mailboxes;
• Prepare documents originating from the risk assessment processes for publication.

• Excellent knowledge of English (at least B2 level);  
• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in chemistry, biology, toxicology or a related area; 
• At least 1 year of relevant working experience in chemistry, biology, toxicology, chemical risk assessment or a related area; 
• Experience of drafting scientific reports in English; 
• Work experience in regulatory science is considered an asset;  
• Work experience from an international organisation is considered an asset; 
• Ability to analyse scientific and regulatory information, identify issues and contribute to addressing them;
• Behavioural competencies: customer oriented, excellent team player, ability to switch quickly from one task to the other.

Assignment: initial contract of 3 months, with possibility of extensions. Expected duration of assignment 12 months.
Salary: approx 3660,00 per month before taxes.
Work modalities: office work is required on at least 2 days per week. Remote work is possible within 2 hours from Parma, Italy for the remaining days.
